As usual I am wasting time on the 'net & discovered the following. I plan on building this over the winter (I hope) to aid in tuning my 3 dellortos on the Laverda (no personal experience with the gadget but it does seem like a good idea)
This may have a tuning application when confronted with a bunch o carbs atop the v8 ...

laverda and anyone else for that matter.
My wife works in rhe electronics industry and has for about 20 years (give or take).
I'll get her to take a look at the board once she figures out what board it is we should be able to get the boards cheap.http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

This is seriously cool, for some reason it never occurred to me it could be done with carbs! I may very well try building one...

That's how I've been tuning my progressive Strombergs. I got a Westach analog gauge so it doesn't look to modern.
Mr. Kerry, long time no see.
Where did you get that at?

There is a difference between having the ratios the same, and having the amount of air going through the carbs the same.
You still need something that gives a relative measurement of the air passing through each carb, then go back and tune the jets using an air/fuel meter.

Hi Jay. Been busy. I'll try and ring you later this week.
Westach ( www.westach.com (http://www.westach.com) )has a minimum order so I had to go through one of their customers. I'll have to go back through the reciepts but is was some VW place in California. The only difference from the one shown was they screened their logo on the bottom. :-( It'll get painted black yet.

http://www.bob2000.com/carb.htm scroll down about 2/3 the way down this page and it shows you some information on this subject. I have the bar graph style shown on the bottom of your artical. I used a 1 wire O2 sensor ($20) and a bung a got at the exhaust shop($5??). It works alright, but I wish it was more sensitive. Seems like sometimes is reads more accurate than others. I guess I should try reading it with just a voltmeter and see what happens.

Oxygen sensors need to be mounted close to the motor.
