There's no doubt that i am going to regret this for the rest of my days, so here goes. This auction is for my 39 Ford Pickup. I purchased this truck from out of the dry Texas hill country at the first of this year. It appears that the prior build was done in either the late 80's or early 90's, according to some of the parts that were on her when i received her. I have not run the numbers on the motor. There is no question that it is a small block chevy, and it appears to be a 307. The motor is in great shape, she carries 75 pounds of oil pressure, the TH350 automatic transmission had a fresh rebuild with a shift kit in early May during the Texas Roundup. This little girl will tool down the road at 90mph+ as smooth as she should. When i brought the truck home, we stripped all of the sheet metal off within the exception of lifting the cab everything was bolted up tightly and nice and clean so we did not feel the need. Any and all rust was cut out and replaced with patch panels purchased from Howells out of Beaumont, Texas. THERE IS NO RUST ISSUES ON THE SHEET METAL OF THIS TRUCK. We spent 2 weeks dolling, hammering, and straightening all the shape metal. The only issues as far as body work (NOT RUST) are the edges of the running boards and tailgate that could probably use a couple more hours of attention. The rest of the sheet metal is an outstanding shape, you will not find nicer. The entire underneath of truck prior to reinstalling the sheet metal was properly prepped and shot with chassis black. I took the gas tank to a radiator shop and had it double-dipped. I have driven this truck on many occasions up through the Texas hill country. Some trips, as much as 600 mile round trips with absolutely no issues since she was completed. Please note is a 70 year old truck. It is not flawless, and it is certainly not a trailer queen. She is a major head turner and quite often, gets nice compliments from the traditionalists at the car shows that she has been presented in. Buy with confidence that you can get in this truck and go. She is being sold with no warranty, expressed or implied. If the new owner needs a little time to pick up the truck i will be more than happy to work something out if paid in full. Truck will not leave my shop until all funding has been cleared or cash in hand. . If any perspective buyers would like to come and inspect the truck, i will be more than happy to show it. All shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, however i will be more than happy to help load on a trailer. Thanks for looking
