For sale, my 1934 Ford 5W Coupe.

Body:
The roof has been chopped 2 1/2” and just needs to be smoothed out. There is a LeBonney Baron soft insert installed and is water-tight. There is a chopped windshield frame installed with a working crank-out mechanism. The trunk lid has been louvered by Diver Dan here in Ohio with his west coast style louvers. The lid is held on with ’50 Ford hinges. With the car come all four OG fenders, both running boards and all four hood pieces. The fenders need attention as they’ve been moved around a lot in the past 30+ years and have some stress issues as well as some minor dings. The rear fenders look like someone started to put some oddball taillights into them but only got as far as cutting the holes; the holes are on the flats of the fenders so it should be an easy repair. The hood is in great shape. The only rust on the car is a small spot on the bottom of the pass door, about the size of a silver dollar. The lighting is as follows; headlights are Bob Drake repop ’34 passenger buckets with halogen bulbs; there are factory parking like set up for parking/signal lights; The tail lights are also Drake repop 50 Pontiac lights with blue dots and a simple license light mounted on the early sixties style rear nerf bumper. And speaking of bumper, up front there is a Drake chrome V spreader bar. The firewall is a modified aftermarket set-back unit that has a well documented checkerboard paint job. When I painted it, I eve left a halo around the HAMB member plate so if you have one, now you have the perfect place for it.

Chassis:
Underneath, there is the stock ’34 chassis with some Pete & Jake’s stuff. Up front is a drop axle supported by a very early P&J four bar set up. I do know that the urethane bushings need to be replaced. There is a Speedway disc brake conversion up front and stock drum brakes in back, I’ve installed an adjustable proportioning valve and the right residual valve and the brakes work GREAT. In the middle is a P&J tube X-member with a driveshaft safety loop installed. Out back is a late 60’s Maverick 8” axle with a 2.79 ring, (talk about fuel mileage!) supported by a parallel leaf set-up. I’m pretty sure these were installed with a P&J kit and the springs are early Super Slider springs. Both the front and rear set-ups were done in the late sixties or early seventies, so that technology is represented. There is a new Tanks 16 gallon gas tank and sending unit set up for a GM system. The wheels are Vintique steelies (5.5X 15 and 8X15). The tires are skinny bias ply up front, (I don’t remember what brand, but I can get the info). The fronts are whitewalls with the white blacked out in KIWI gloss black ;-) and I’m oh so proud to say the rear tires are HURST CHEATERS. They’re 8.25X31. All four corners carry new Monroe shocks.

Other Mechanical:
When I got the car, I got a 30 year old Walker radiator that had NEVER been used. It’s marked with a 1983 date. When I had it converted from the Ford to Chevy inlet, the radiator guy confirmed it never had so much as clean water in it from what he could see. The car is outfitted with a P&J hydraulic clutch master and slave.

Interior:
Sparse as I just hadn’t gotten that far yet. So far there is a 1 5/8” single hoop roll bar, an early 90’s mini-van seat that’s uber comfy, a roller gas pedal, (old school VW guys will smile now). The dash was filled way back in the day as I found out when I was welding on it and the lead started dripping on my foot. The gauges are mid fifties IH truck gauges that were painted to match the intended exterior color. It’s got a started and light switch on either side of the speedo and a multi gauge in the center and a Sun tach mounted on the Speedway steering column with their new quick-release hub. Currently there is a foam rimmed three spoke wheel on it, but I have a couple others to choose from if you want. The glove box door has one of Dreadman’s aircraft latches as does the master cylinder access panel on the driver’s side floor. In the trunk is an old icebox that I’ve painted with the old Mt. Dew ‘It’ll tickle yer innerds!’ artwork. This is the battery’s new home. The floor was replaced with a Bitchin floor from the center of the passenger area all the way back to the rear of the trunk. The doors are set up wit Rock Hinge bear claw latches and also their power window kit with the 'crank' switches so you can still look traditional.

Currently the car has a SBC and a T5 in it. I really want to keep this combo for my next project as I really like it and I went through Hell getting the T5 and don’t want to have to go through that again. And I’m sure Danimal doesn’t either. To aid in this sale, I have an all stock, 1966 283 and Powerglide that will go with the coupe INSTEAD of what’s in the photos. If you REALLY want what's currently in the coupe, all I can say is money talks and I’m a good listener.

I’m asking $20,000, (Please, no trade offers. I won't even entertain a trade) for this and all the supporting parts and accessories that I have. I drove this coupe from Dayton to Louisville in ‘08 without a single issue in its current configuration. It realistically has less than 1500 miles on it since I got it road-worthy two years ago. It’s a good solid car and very reliable. It’s got a good clear Ohio title and even a set of model year tags, painted to match the intended color. Please follow the forum rules and PM me directly with all responses.

My wife and I have labored over this decision and with certain issues on the home front, we must sell it. Doing so will put me without a HAMB friendly car, but a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do.

Thanks and let the PMing commence.

Silly me, I forgot the photos. If you're serious and want more. PM me specifics and I'll do my best to send you what you want.

And before I get anymore PMs asking; no, I don't have the garnish moldings.

Well. That was quick. Sale pending, waiting on a wire transfer.

Please hold off on anymore PMs until further notice. This deal is as good as done and I have others happily waiting in the wings if for some weird reason the current deal falls through; which I don't see happening.

Thanks for all the interest, including the one guy who low balled me to the point of insult; would have expected better from a four year HAMB veteran. Who knew?

The wire transfer is complete and the funds have hit my bank. Now the transport needs to be secured.

I think it's safe to close this thread.

Thanks to all, especially Ryan and crew for the place to do this.
