Hello, from southern Illinois, I'm new to this forum and wanted to access the
knowledge of other hot rodders. I have two 32 Fords, a coupe and a sedan, and I need some help. I had problems starting my sedan, so after checking some usual problem areas, I found a bad neutral safety switch, on my Gennie floor shifter on my th350. I replaced it along with the .045 shim. I think my starting problems are solved, but now the car starts in P,R, N, but not in D or L. I spoke to a Gennie tech rep and his comments was to add more shims, which I did to no avail. I've added in different combinations .010-.070 to no avail, it either starts in P,R,N, or not at all. Any suggestions, has anyone else had this problem? Thanks for your insight!
