what size tires are you running on your astros?

i picked up the 60 catalina yesterday, and damn thing has old cracked bias plys on it. want to throw some astros on it, but not sure what size tire i should be running. (or rim for that matter.14", 15"??) looking for that mild socal custom style.

i know lownslow is rocking the astros. who else??

on the 60 i run 205 70 15 skinny whites. and 15 x 7 standard offset supremes.............rock on..........

I run 15X7's with 225-60's and 255-60's on my astro van.

thanks for the replies. i really love that mint julep car. it's running 205 70 15's. sounds like the plan for me! his are on 6" rims, and donnies runs 7". what kind of visual difference in the tire will there be with an additional 1" in wheel width?

mine are just better ......haha......not much of a difference really maybe an inch ....oh man i am on a roll today........never mind me i had a really productive day and i can see the light at the end of the tunnel....really though i would go with the 7 's .and it wont make the tire look weird either...but thats just me........

205/65 14s (skinny whites of course) here. they were on lowandgold59's ponti for about 5 seconds, then I took em back and he kept the tires, but thats what will be on my 54. -J.

205/70/15's on the buick. i've been looking for smaller whitewall for the plymouth. it's gonna get 15x5 smoothies up front with 15x6 out back. i know some companies used to make 195/65/15 skinny white but i haven't found them. i guess unless i find 'em soon i'll be runnin the same on them. that cream and gold '58 chevy wagon in rod n custom a year or so ago said it was running 175/65/15 anyone know what they were or where to get 'em??????/...ken....
