Just put in a new Super Street Hurst Shifter. The stick is pretty close to my leg and a little short. There are other sticks in the catalog that look right, or are long enough to bend. Do the all interchange? Do they all have the same 2 bolt end?

i just made one out of strap steel then bolted it on and fired up the torch and bent it to the right spot. then it went to the chrome shop. i just got through bolting it on for the drags so you can see it this weekend!

Went to the Hurst site and was on hold with there tech for 10 minutes or so. No answers. I was thinking somebody here may know.
Bob, we're good for Thursday night if you need a place to crash. Looks like I have to work on Friday, so I won't get to head out to Reggie's shop with ya'll.

This is what I did so I could use an early Ford stick. Not an original idea, just what I did. 3/8" plate bent forward and to the center. Good Luck

buzzard, from what i've seen and played with all the holes are the same distance apart.

Thanks Jerry, that's what I needed to know.
i've got one i bought from a friend. it's modified so that the shifter lever is right in the center of the tranny like a top shifted older transmission would have been. someone just took a piece of mild steel about the same cross section as the bottom of the shift lever and about 8" long; drilled two holes in each end with threads in one end; bent it so that it bolts to the tranny and the shift lever bolts to it and puts the lever centered on the tranny. no welding on the chrome lever. and since this extension will be under a boot no one will ever see it. it'll look just like it was meant to be that way.
you could do the same thing to position the lever anywhere you wanted it.
