I have a 1963 Pontiac Catalina 4 door that I wanted to restore but do not have the money to do so. It ran when I bought it, but it needs work. It does have the dreaded Slim Jim tranny that leaks.

Here is what I started to do: Convert front brakes to disc, bought ScareBird bracket kit & all new parts from NAPA. Passenger side is done, need to install new Master Cylinder (already purchased) and make some new brake lines as the old MC was a single chamber & new MC is dual chamber.

I have newer tires & rims for the car. The interior is in pretty good shape for it's age. The exterior has a few dings & will need cleaning up. All glass is in good shape- no cracks.

I will take & post pictures later today. I also have an original factory service manual (reprint) with the car.

If you are interested, email me gkreamer@gmail.com for more information.

I had decided to keep the car, but I got a new job two weeks ago that will result in us moving. Right now my commute is 2.5 hours each way so there is no time for a project car.

I have bought a bunch of parts.

new parts:
front upper & lower control arm bushings
front upper & lower balljoints
inner & outer front tie rod ends
tie rod sleeves
front shocks
front sway bar replacement bushing kit
brake booster
master cylinder
battery
proportioning valve for rear brakes
door seals
front & rear windshield seals
trunk seal
rear tail light lenses
tune-up stuff: points, cap , rotor, valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket, rad hoses

used parts:
battery tray
front windshield cowl cover
driver's side tail light assembly
eight Cragar rims w/tires

I have spent $4K on the car, it stinks to abandon the project but there is no time and I will soon have no garage.

I'd like to get something for the car, maybe $500-$1000? It runs, but currently is not completely put back together so it will neeed to be towed.

Please contact me for more info or pics.

Thanks!

Here is the current condition: the hood, drivers fender/inner fender, drivers upper & lower control arms are off of the car as is the drivers side valve cover. I have all these parts with the car. The lower control arm has the bushings removed- I have new bushings for both arms, both sides. I have new valve cover gaskets too. The car does run, but not right now obviously.

If someone wants this car and is willing to tow it & reassemble it themselves I will give the car away for FREE.
