I have a 1963 Pontiac Catalina 4 door that I wanted to restore but do not have the money to do so. It ran when I bought it, but it needs work. It does have the dreaded Slim Jim tranny that leaks.
Here is what I started to do: Convert front brakes to disc, bought ScareBird bracket kit & all new parts from NAPA. Passenger side is done, need to install new Master Cylinder (already purchased) and make some new brake lines as the old MC was a single chamber & new MC is dual chamber.
I have newer tires & rims for the car. The interior is in pretty good shape for it's age. The exterior has a few dings & will need cleaning up. All glass is in good shape- no cracks.
I will take & post pictures later today. I also have an original factory service manual (reprint) with the car.
If you are interested, email me gkreamer@gmail.com for more information.
