hey im juss about 18 my names francisco im from LA the harbor area i recently bought a 1950 oldsmobile 88 2 door fast back only the shell no engine/interior just a pretty good body and rebuilt chasis botom pretty good

havent started on it bcuz of unemployment recently got a job any tips on were 2 start 1st project ever

Put a running gear in the old girl and drive it while you work on the interior etc. enjoy the car as you learn the hobby of restoration, hot rodding. The best thing you can do is take it SLOW! That is a perfect car to start with, and rare as well, you'll be amazed how many people will compliment you on your ride, young and old. Enjoy your car and the HAMB young man, I hope you have a long life as a car nut.....

I always liked those Olds. My friend back in 57 had a 49 with 56 engine with Engle cam and Hilborn injection. He drove it to the drag strip and to work. Find a 324 Olds. mill they run real good. Keep us posted on your progress.
