I built this car up from a bare frame with a lot of help from my Dad. I have put about 1500-2000 miles on it and loved every minute of it, but it is time for “The Manx” to find a new home.
Original frame, Z’ed per the Tardel / Bishop book
Unsplit Model A wishbone
Superbell front axle
CE hydraulic tube shocks front & rear
New Lincoln repro front brakes
CE forged roundback spindles
CE forged steering arms
Model A pitman arm, shortened and drilled for tie rod ends
Rebuilt Model A steering box from Mike’s
Custom steering column without spark & throttle rods
Model A rearend, just rebuilt (less than 500 miles) with a 3.54 gear
‘47 Ford rear brakes
‘39 Ford transmission, rebuilt by Mac VanPelt
Cling’s master cylinder / pedal assembly
Model A starter with 12V rebuild and modern barrel
12V alternator
‘32 Model B engine, rebuilt by James Rogers in NC
Babbitt bearings
1.75” intake valves
Non -counterbalanced crankshaft
Snyder’s head
FS Ignitions distributor
Leakless water pump
Riley crankshaft pulley, reduced diameter
Cling’s adapter to V8 gearbox
New Stromberg 97
Model B fuel pump
Cragar-style intake manifold, port matched
Stock exhaust manifold
Aries high performance muffler
Brookville extended cab ‘30-31 roadster pickup body
Original ‘30-31 gas tank
Brookville ‘32 grille shell and insert
Painted with DP90
Brassworks radiator
Stock dash and gauges
‘30-31 steering wheel and horn rod / light switch
Chrysler minivan seat
Model A accessory trunk
‘35 Ford wires, dip stripped and powder coated gloss black
Dirt track Firestones up front and 7.00X16 rears
This is a rock solid car - everything is new or rebuilt and works together very well. Steers great, handles great, killer brakes, great gearbox, and lots of pep from the banger. There is no top. It needs door panels, and to have the seat, door panels and trunk platform upholstered. It also needs to have the emergency brake hooked up. I have all the parts for this including an installation kit from Mills & Co., but it needs to have one small bracket fabbed. It is titled in my name as a ‘31 Ford Truck. Additional parts that will come with the car include a counterbalanced Model B crankshaft, a new Rootlieb ‘30-31 stock hood, and a hood strap kit.
Asking $12,500, please PM me with any questions.
Thanks,
Will Kimble
