This car is a nice survivor and is mostly all original. It features newer wide whitewalls, factory fender skirts & visor (not pictured). The body is straight and solid. The car is currently blue w/a white roof. I included a picture of the car in its previous color of flat black w/fender skirts so you could see the versatility of its look by simply changing the color or adding or subtracting the fender skirts and visor.
All the glass is good. The interior is original and very much in tact especially the headliner and sun visors. The door panels are free of rips and tears. There are a couple of rips in the seat upholstery but the padding is still in tact. The dashboard is perfect w/a little touch of patina where the paint has worn through down to the primer. Most gauges work. All lights, including turn signals, dome light, and brake lights are in working order.
There are rust issues in the floors. However they have been patched and are holding fine but should still be replaced. I recently replace two rear wheel cylinders and brake shoes. There are also recent brake lines (steel).
This car starts first time, every time, and runs and drives on a daily basis. However it does have a noisy wrist-pin. It might drive forever but I am including a complete 1952 216 engine w/10,000 mi. on a rebuild. This spare engine includes flywheel, clutch, and bell housing.
This beauty is a candidate for a complete restoration, a street or rat rod or just drive it the way it is. The car has been well-maintained over the years and presents itself as a true survivor. Lots more pics available. Might consider trades for antique and classic car or truck only. Phone calls preferred but will accept emails. The car can be seen in Windsor,IL which is 170 miles south of Chicago.
(Sorry if the newest pictures do not appear. Please call/email and I can email them to you.)
$4,200. Call Jim 773-615-4790 so I can answer questions and tell you more about this great automobile.
