1957 Buick...with nailhead

**CLEAR TITLE in my name**

57 buick roadmaster 4 door hardtop…(supposedly only about 11,000 made, so, they’re somewhat rare)

It’s a Michigan car, so it’s got a lot of rust.

Odometer shows about 48,000 (I do not know if that is accurate though.) But, the previous owner said he didn’t drive it a lot and he thought the 48,000 was correct.

It’s still got the nailhead in it. (think it’s a 364)… I did a little work on it (carb, points, etc) and got it to run. It seems to run pretty good, takes the gas well when I rev it, and seems to idle good…

Previous owner said he got all new exhaust done on it a couple years ago.

Although it does run…the car is NOT a driver!… I haven’t even looked at anything else yet (brakes, transmission etc…) All I was trying to do was get it to run. I don’t have any idea what shape the gas tank is in as far as rust or what’s in it. When I got it to run, I just hung a 1 gal gas tank up near it and ran a line to the carb.

Really just wanna get this gone...

had several guys who were supposedly gonna buy it, but just gave me the runaround...

I don't mind waiting a week or two for you to pick it up... But, if you need me to hold it for you any longer than that, then I gotta have a deposit (non refundable, of course!).

And yeh, I really think that's fair...because, if you're serious about buying it...then why would you have a problem sending a deposit?


To clear a few things up... This is a project or parts car! You cannot drive it home. There's no gas tank hooked up right now, so it won't even drive on the trailer.

On the transmission and brakes...I never even put it in gear, so I don't know. When I got it running, all I was interested in was using the engine in another car, so I didn't even bother with anything else on the car...




I might take a trade if you've got something I can use for my 32 coupe...

I could use a good original trunklid (5w coupe), maybe a firewall from a channeled car, and a cool old dropped model A axle...

also maybe cool old speed equipment, a good weiand 6x2 drag star intake for SBC, original SP tops, some big SP breathers (part # SP102), a good Magneto for a SBC ...


or maybe other stuff, let me know what you've got...
