Local lore.....Von Dutch (allegedly) painted this 32 Ford sedan dragster. The owner (late 50's till now) campained it in So Cal Untill he moved up here in 61. I had heard of it for years but knew no one who had seen it. It took six more years and several trips to see it for myself. It is very deep in da woods and hill people are hill people. If they don't like you they don't like you. Kinda like VD. I was told that Von Dutch painted the whole car (you can make out the flames and numbering) by the owner and when I pressed him of how he knew that, he blew up at me (hill people, I thought that I was done). He is very much a car person, when his wife told him to sell some that "he couldn't take them with him", his response was "the hell I can't, I got a backhoe". He has 3,000 cars (I am not sure of the exact number but it took several hours to walk them all). So when I saw the car I saw the the paint was curlling off. I asked if I could have a chip, he let me have several. I sunk them in resin, a funky job at best, destroyed my muffin pan. I have given them to friends and this last one is up for grabs. If there is a response I will let the man know. Who knows he might not let me back on his property or he might see green. Da American Way. $125.00 shipped to the lower 48
