I did this based on Chris Casny's Nash Boattail. I took a few liberties with it, but I'm pretty happy with how it worked out. This may be my piece for the HAMB drags, not sure yet:D I'm hoping to get some better pics from a buddy of mine next week, I was having a rough time.

I'm gonna have to mount up on thet Stock Car - It's very close to some of the Dirt Jalopies I crewed on in the 60's.
Ruben I'm finding myself getting really attracted to the line art sketches - I thinh they show much more detail - you the Artist move and put the shading and the light in the best places for the detail.
That stuff is reaching up and grabbing my eye and saying "right here sucker"

Great start so far. Did this on a VW Beetle (year ?) last week and was tool ate getting it to last weeks show. Had to cover a spot on the cowl that had chipped paint so i came up with the little drag race theme. He wanted the mexican beetle on the back fender because thats where some of the last ones were made.

The DDEC-V thing is a retirement ditty for my pal Drew's boss at Detroit Diesel... Its pagan gold over DX-84 flaked silver. The shelf is what to do with a strip of particle board I found in the trash at CCS and the cooler is hotrodladycrusr's. She asked me for "something on it" at B-Proof MI... my first customer work... no better customer to start with - mine is the small one at the bottom :D

Well this is a project started. I started pin striping recently and need something to store my paint in and also make it portable.

The Schiltz cooler has a small tray underneath the lid that can store brushes and the rest of the cooler I can keep paint in. The wagon however needs EXTREME help! I plan on using the Greyhound body, but the chassis is almost rusted away. I plan on lowering it and I love the wheels and would love to find some more like these, does anyone know where I can find some or does anyone on here have any? Once the wagon is finish, I am leaving everything like it is, just some small amount of striping. This will look good in the back of my Studebaker truck :).

I, too am humbled by the stuff on here - all of it. pencil renderings I would never think possible, the cleanest and highest quality stripe work in the business - photography that just makes you stare and stare and stare, art work that is the standard to judge by in all mediums and themes - on and on and on... as an up and coming, I find this thread the sustanance of my inspiration. :D:D It is a Kool privledge to have this input stream in my life. It took almost a year and a half to finally come to print, and they decided to put my double dealer painting as the poster pull out! Im excited to see it in store shelves. Itll be #35 August issue if youre interested.

Damn, that's gonna be a loud bike! It's hard to find a bike with a paint that isn't similar to anyone elses, but I believe this one is a one of a kind. :D Love to see this one when it's done.

Hey Everyone. I've been a fan of the Friday Art Show for a while but haven't tried to post until now. I hope this works. The cars are charcoal pencil and ink on illustration board. The Harley is mixed media. Great work from everyone tonight.

Zemog, thats all done with House of Kolor urethanes and PPG basecoats, all of the fine line work is done by hand with brushes using acrylics and the rest is done with an Iwata airbrush. Then eveything is clearcoated. Sonny

Here's a logo I'm working on for our club's car show. It's nick-named "Just Barely" but the full name is the "Just barely got it here, duct tape and rattlecan custom car showdown". I still have a bit more to do on it, but I wanted to get it on here before the art show went into archives. By the way, this Friday Art Show just keeps getting better every week. We are looking for some great representation for our mobile art gallery, "Lily's Greasey Gallery".


We have had some great artists from all over the United States at previous shows and are always looking for new and old talent with new pieces to participate in this year's event.


Please note that we are looking for art that carries a Kustom/Low Brow theme that has relation to Car Culture. This could include pinstriping, sculpture, paint, pen & ink, photography, etc. If you think that your art fits that bill and want more detail as to gallery policies, commissions, etc.

The yellow tank isn't signed but is supposed to be an early Dave Perewitz work.The other tank isn't signed but the work looks a bit like Don Ives or possibly Dee Von Hentzschel work.They came from the East coast.Anybody recognize the work?

Well this is a project started. I started pin striping recently and need something to store my paint in and also make it portable.

The Schiltz cooler has a small tray underneath the lid that can store brushes and the rest of the cooler I can keep paint in. The wagon however needs EXTREME help! I plan on using the Greyhound body, but the chassis is almost rusted away. I plan on lowering it and I love the wheels and would love to find some more like these, does anyone know where I can find some or does anyone on here have any? Once the wagon is finish, I am leaving everything like it is, just some small amount of striping. This will look good in the back of my Studebaker truck :).
