Hi, My name is Michael.
Im from Arkansas city, Kansas, I have had a love for cars since I was
8, I am now 13 - 14. Since I have been in love with cars I've worked on 4 cars, a 1968 Mustang, my familys first project car, after we finished that beutiful project we started on a 1954 oldsmobile rocket 88. Then my family desided to take on the biggest project yet, please dont hate me for saying this, A 1927 model T coupe Rat Rod, the car is both a Hotrod and a Rat Rod, still trying to deside if I want to start a build thread on it or not.
The story with the '27 is, A buddy of ours bought it and started to work on it but needed room for anouther project. So he sold us the '27 and he also threw in two model A frames, two motors, seats, and other random parts and peices. A few days later when returning to pick up the rest of the parts he offered us (witch became our next project) a 1955 GMC witch came with the frame and all body parts. I would like to ask that no one treat me any diffrent, good or bad, because of my age. Im just anouther car loving, kid.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

Welcome from Central Valley Cal.
Be careful using the term Ratrod around here you will get beat up alot and most of these guys will have no respect for you or your project.
To me the biggest difference between a RR and a hot rod is in the execution.
Most of the RR crowd set out to build something that looks scary and like crap. Take most of those same parts and put thought and planning into it and strive for more form & function and you'll get a different result.
I am not trying to lecture you, just want to give you a heads up on what reactions you can expect from this board.. Good luck, and have fun, glad you are here....

Well guys, I see what your saying, And I've come to the conclusion that my '27 is a Hotrod all around, only reason I thought of it as a Ratrod is because it was not gunna be painted with a 20g paint job and top of the line leather. Its a rusty very well built (no scary crap) car.

I got my start at 14 when I dragged home a '38 Ford pickup that I paid $15 for. That was in 1966, a time when dinosaurs still roamed the earth. Less traffic back then but you had to worry about the occasional brontosaurus lumbering out into oncoming traffic. Same truck that is in the avatar photo. Drove it to work today.
