I've been working on this thing 7-8 hours a day all week. I got the cowl and back half connected together and made the filler below the door, built the door janb, cut the lip off the door and made a new one to recurve it, got my latch and striker in today. I also cut about 1 1/4 inch off the bottom of the cowl and split a piece of light tubing to go over the edge front to back. I plan to mold it in so it looks more like a bead.

Their not, but I am hoping to bring it to my friends house to finish them with the wire feed. All I have is oxy/acetylene and hammer welding is not only laborous but hard to do in some places and just a bitch in general when you have to work outside with a breeze. I also have to rattlecan all my work at the end of each day due to the heavy dew here at night so the paint is just temporary.

The back half is 26-27 T touring. The doors are the earlier version of T touring rears that open backwards. The cowl is from a 29 A 4 door but has been heavily modified.

Bruce I plan to get the panel from Howell's. It is $70. Now that the front and back are tied together I am going to move it into the shed. I didn't want to put the new metal in with it outside.

Here is another picture with the windshield frame.

The rails that it is sitting on are a set that I bought but after I got all the old tin off they were too rusty to use. They are nice and straight and have worked good to put the leveling jacks under for body mockup. I have a much nicer set of A rails I will be boxing and "Z"ing. I haven't decided on motivation yet. I have a 49 flatty with overdrive I was going to use but the more I think about it I am loosing interest in that engine for now. I have a 79 caddy engine and tranny spoken for that I haven't seen yet and it is a possibility. Not sure if it is a 425 or 368, but that would be something a little different. I really want it to be a stick shift tho.
