So here we go, been lurking for a while so I know what I'm getting into (I think). My name is Chad, and I've had my 38 Chevy for longer than I haven't. I got it when I was 14, my Dad and I built it and rebuilt it a couple times when I was in high school. It was my only car, and I never hesitated to fire it up and go anywhere with it. Farthest trip was from south florida to Flagstaff, and I made regular runs to NC. Unfortunately, I haven't driven the poor thing in about 14 years (school, marriage, kids, etc. interrupted the last tear down).

Now here's the disturbing part.....It is built in the finest style of the late 80's ( ...runs for cover...). That was fine then, but now that I'm older and wiser, I want to do the next build in a little more style. HAMB style. I won't be wrenching on it anytime soon, so I'm here for ideas and to contribute where I can.

So that's my life story as it relates to our common interest. Help save a reject from the 80s and go easy on the new guy....

Welcome to the H.A.M.B. I was raised in Jacksonville, FL from 45-78, then moved to Alabama. I've been on the mountaintop from 78- now next to Talledega National Forest. I have been retired from the phone company 9 years. By the way my middle name is Moody!.....TIM

Thanks guys....

And Tim, I'm currently just outside of Jax, trying to move as far away from it as I can and still make it in to work on a regular basis.
