I was looking through some of my car treasures and found a couple of intake manifolds. one is a dual carb for a buick straight 8 and the other is for a pontiac flat head dual carb manifold. Can someone tell me if its for a six or eight cyl. There is a tag on it,saying 6 but there are four intakes which makes me think its a 8 intake.so which is it.

Pictures would be great, but it could be for a Pontiac flathead six, as they had four intake ports. They are not symetrical; they are arranged in two groups of two, biased toward the ends of the block.

I would delight in having any/all casting numbers of the Pontiac manifold to place on my page of original/aftermarket speed multicarb manifolds for Pontiac.

A picture, with permission to use on my site, would also be appreciated. Or if the Pontiac one is for sale???

Does it look like this one? It's a pretty small pic posted awile back here on the HAMB. Could you post a larger pic than what I have?

Jon any idea from the pic what carbs were used?

I would be interested in the intake as well if it was in fact a Pontiac flathead 6 intake.

Carbs look like Chandler Grove/Holley AA-1's or Holley 2100's. If I were going to use a manifold with the 3 bolt flanges, I would probably use some form of Carter (WD-0, WCD, WGD); as these carbs can be tuned more precisely (assuming one can fab metering rods).
