I had a dream about them last night and I think that's a sign...

They look like the old firestone wide oval whitewalls to me.

What's with the 4 lug 4 spokes?

It's a drawing of a Corvair I got from OldChevySeller.

Edit: Oops, teach me to talk on the phone and post...

Coker carries wide oval types...not sure if they have whitewalls tho.

Just about any tire manufacturer carries the narrow whites...don't think that narrow tho...

I think Michelin used to make them like this.

Diamond Back can usually do what you want.. and you can choose the tire if you do not like their selection.

I was looking at a Mercury Marquis, (Not sure if it was the notorious De Sade option) the other day. A late model one that looks like a Crown Vic (Police car) and it had some Michelins that had little pinwalls like old time Wide Ovals. I thought to my self: those would be right on period 1960's with Supremes but the would ride like modern tires. Has anybody tried them??

PS those 4 lug wheels would bitchen on my '64 Ranchito 6 cyl.

Look in lowrider magazines for pinner whites.

Those ones Chili Phil saw were Michelin Symmetry radials I believe. Looking at some myself. They have a 1/2" whitewall. Not centered on the sidewall like some of the old bias plys; it's more towards the wheel. Still the closest modern tire I could find. Diamondback Classics will also make whatever width whitewall you want, wherever you want, for about $145 a tire (again a radial).

Here's a pic of the Michelins from a Lincoln forum:

The wifes Towncar has those Michelins on it. Depending on the rating they go for between $98 and $135 around here but those are 16"s. Probably available in 15"s though.
