intro from a young rodder

Hello all, I have been lurking for a while and I figured now is as good a time as any to introduce myself. I am a 21 year old student finishing up my last year in mechanical engineering in Illinois. I have been into cars as long as I could remember, but was really turned onto rodding about 5 years ago. I have had a chance to work on many cool cars over the past few years, and I am trying to get a few of mine on the road also. I have a 49 ford two door, a 65 mustang coupe, and a 47 dodge truck. Thanks for all the great info, and hopefully I will be cruising the 49 to some gatherings next summer.

Ya know, I've often wondered how people come up with their user names...in this case...here's a 21 year old that uses Papasmurf. He's old enuff to be a "papa", but with the 240 tacked on the end...does that mean he's got 2, or 4, or he's had a 240Z??? Or is that his room number in college. Curious as to what it does it mean...did his parents call him a "smurf"...or was that his favorite cartoon character?

actually my last name is Murphy, people call me smurf, the girls call me papa, and I do have a 240Z with a ford 302 in it (first car). If I could figure out how to upload pictures I would gladly share some of my shoebox and others. Thanks again for the welcomes.

another shot of the 65 stang, with a glimpse of my girlfriends dads 50 ford (bad ass primer gray with darker primer scallops). He own his own body shop and paints some of the nicest rods out there, but his falcon and his 50 or primered.
