Hi all, haven't been here in quite a while, so I figured I'd do a reintro. I'm Jay, from the Vendettas CC here in Raleighwood NC. My daily driver is a chopped 54 chevy with a sb400 and 4 holley 94's(very expensive daily driver given the recent gas prices, lol). When it rains, I drive my old lady's 55 Dodge Royal Lancer w/270 hemi(it has windshield wipers, and my chevy does not). Realy into the traditional rods and customs, as are most here, and I LOVE to drive my car. I'm in a car club with some of the guys on here(Hex, Caddyman65), and you can see some pics of my vehicles at www.vendettascarclub.com. (http://www.vendettascarclub.com.) If I ever get off my lazy ass, I'm going to start work on my basketcase 30 ford rpu. Got a 364 nailhead I traded fatass a 79 Trans Am for, still sitting in my shed, waiting for the Ford. I really appreciate the amount of knowledge on this board, and might need some help in the coming months. A good friend and car club member has just been diagnosed with cancer, and won't be able to work on his 28 chevy sedan for 4-5 months, and some of us are going to build it for him, so I may have a bunch of stupid questions for you guys. Any input would be great. Thanks in advance -Jay

Hey Jay, I think we should have what they call a " HAMB thrash" on Shannon`s 28, get some beer and food and any local Hambers that want to help, should get it together in no time...if you want I can take some pics of your cars later

Sounds good Errol, I think with a bunch of guys, we could finish that car in a few weekends. We already have all the parts, just need the labor. Hey Jonney, how are you doing? Good to hear from ya. Oh yeah, I've got pics Errol, just didn't want to waste space on here posting pics I've posted before.

I'll probaly be up around those parts some this month seeing katie's family, maybe we could work on it sometime. That would save me from the future in-laws too.

Hey, if anybody is off work for a few days right after Christmas, I'll be in the area and could help pitch in.

Jay,

Cool to see you back on the HAMB! I finally came out of the lurker's closet back in July... even dropped your name. Hehe. Hard to believe it's been almost three years since I met you and zman at his garage. At the time your '54 was flamed and "floor-board challenged" as I recall. It looked damn good at BS&G and everywhere else I have seen it over the last year or so.

And to paraphrase Steve (from earlier in the thread), regarding a thrash for Shannon's '28 - "POST IT TO THE HAMB AND THEY WILL COME". Hehe. I don't think you'll have any trouble finding guys to pitch in. Cool that it may spread out over a few weekends... that way if folks can't make one session, they can hopefully make the other. I'd definitely like to help.

Welcome back and looking forward to seeing you on the board.

Thanks for the offers everyone. I'll talk to caddyman, and to Shannon, and some of the other guys, and figure out when/how we can arrange this, and then I'll post about a thrash.
