Ok guys heres what I got upto over the last week or so.
Finished assembling the 8BA....flycut/equalised the chambers on the Offy 400 heads so that the Chevy valves would clear with the L100 cam. Have .055" clearance now. Piston to head clearance was OK.
Set the valves with a set of Red's liteweight adjustables; unfortunately one was faulty and broke while I was adjusting it. Marilyn at Reds was just the best...had a replacement within 5 days...remember, Im Down Under !! Thats WHAT I CALL SERVICE. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Thanx Marilyn !!
Finished machining the SBC damper to suit the 8BA. I'm gonna get a wide-belt pulley machined up to solves that problem. The pulley will allow be to bolt a blower pulley to it when the 4-71 goes on.
Rang Barney Navarro in LA for a blower intake - left a msg but will try again...seen his 4-71 intake, its a nice piece.
Will be getting a 4-71 put together in Feb or so and start collectin' parts to suit my setup, but won't run it till I get this combo on the road and dialled in running sweetly.
Assembled the chassis's rear end, A bone spring and shox as well as rebuilding the master cyl. Has a couple of flares leak and reflared them and solved that drama. Will bleed/adjust the brakes tomorrow nite.
This weekend, Im gonna drop in the motor/trans combo and setup the clutch slave cyl and fork as well as bolt on the exhaust.
So much shit to do....so little time...
Enjoy the pix...

Next I need to reprime the body, fuel tank, grille shell and a few small bits so i can drop the body onto the frame and wire it.
