I just got my new Rodders Journal. Low and behold, local legends Sig Erson and Bob Wilson got some well deserved press in the quick change buyers guide. I've seen work from both and it's top notch. Just wanted to send out a well deserved "hell yeah" for the Texas boys!
Rodders Journal folks, yet another top notch, numero uno, ultra fine issue. Went out on a limb with the 6 banger thing, I think it's way cool. As usual, the photograpy is second to none. You folks, Hop Up and RF are muy bueno in my book.

It sure would be nice if I could find the new TRJ around here. It seems like when ever I do finally find one it looks like two dogs fought over it.

Ooooh, now the waiting begins (aka "How Long After I Know The Latest Issue Of The Rodder's Journal Is Sitting Rotting On The Shelf Of The Local Borders Bookseller Will My Subscription Issue Arrive?")
At least it's always worth the wait. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well put, haring. I got my annual poster in the mail yesterday, with a letter regarding giving gift subscriptions. I have only received 1 issue this year. Think I sent $75 for a 2 yr renewal last year. I love TRJ but here we are in December and only 1 issue received so far? Hopefully I will get 8 issues for my 2 yr paid subscription, at this rate it will take 4 years to get 8 issues. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Went to my favorite newstand today, just to see if it may it this far east yet. No luck But I did buy the new Rolls and Pleats, Garage, and Rod and Custom (My car is in the "readers rides" section) Theres also a new mag(?) from Primedia called "Street & Custom Rodding Illustrated" Never saw that one before. Looks like they have thier toe in the traditional water but are afraid of getting wet...?

Spike, that is just an annual compilation Primedia does.
I have been waiting by the mail for three weeks looking for my new TRJ. I too had a year subscription. Do I need to renew NOW or after 4 issues???? HEY TRJ give us the scoop man!? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif (I mean that in a nice way)
Hey there everyone,
I haven't posted here before, Geoff is usually the one who takes care of that, but I thought this deserved a response. So hello, I'm Suzi, the Art Director over here at TRJ.
We apologize that we got off track this year, we are already making strides to get back on track for next year. Actually, we are well on the way to having the next issue done.
Don't worry, you do get the number of issues that you paid for, regardless if they all make it out in one year or not. Issue #26 is in the mail, if you haven't already received it. Most people are getting their posters first, but it just happened that way because of the difference in the way they were mailed. We'd really like it if the subscribers got their issues first, but all the magazines leave at the same time to go to all the different places they go. Because of the way they are packaged and shipped, the magazines just take longer in the mail.
So, that's the scoop. Hope that answers everything.
Now, I'm back to creating another magazine that you won't have to wait as long for!
Cheers,
Suzi

Thanks Suzi! My wife thinks I should be put away when TRJ comes in the mail, I get a goofy grin on my face, strange far-away glazed look in my eyes, handle it with a sort of strange reverence, like I am about to embark on a magical mystical journey when I open it. Sorta like that goofy chemicall induced grin I used to get back in the late 60s early 70s when I was comfortably numb.

The metal fab on the straight six cars is simply amazing. Put a big smile on my face since I am running a 235 in my T. The details in the motor mounts. The rear Z's. I was over at HRH's shop going ove rthe design for my T frame and then he busted out his RJ. I have been spending the last couple of days with my engineering paper and autocad figuring another chasis out. Two beautiful cars.

Picked mine up at the local Hastings today. I hope my 63 Grand Prix turns out as sharp as the one in the center of the magazine. At least I know now what one looks like without the rear trim piece (Been considering that change).
One of the only books I buy without thumbing through it.

Ha! you guys are all losers, I've had mine for 3 weeks now. I must be on the V.I.P. subscription list http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Anyways, I think it may be the best issue yet - although I probably always say that. Lots of pages about customs, and some well deserved coverage of some extremely well-crafted "rat rods" (the straight 6 cars). Both = true works of art.

If you will now please turn in your TRJ hymnals to Page 79 and observe the car in the top right corner...looks pretty darn familiar to me.... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
