Picked these up at the junkyard the other day... They measure 22.5 inches across, so I figure they're 20 inchers... I'll weld the rim to the center at some point... The junkyard owner thought they may be off an old Hudson...? Are 4 holers now, but I'll drill them out for 5 lugs later on. Figured I'd grab them while I had the chance.

Crazy cool. They remind me of early Chevy disc wheels.
What's the console from? Looks like a neat piece too.

I'm not trying to burst your baloon, but if you weld the rim to the disk wheel you'll never be able to mount a tire on it. These are 1920's era demountable rims that take a special tool that pulls the rim in and away from the tire. They are not drop center like a normal rim. Hope this saves you some time and aggravation. Four lug wheels from this era are odd.

I'll figure something out with the wheels... I was hoping to beef 'em up a bit for road use, as the rim's held on with just 4 bolts. There wouldn't be a hell of a lot of power going to them, probably a 235 Chev. I don't know what the console's out of... It was found laying in a heap in an old house trailer at the yard... The bezel is DONE! I snagged it for the shifter assembly w/ light that unbolts from the back. I got a ton of crap Sunday. Now that it's freezing, I can gig through the busses and trailers with out worrying about being attacked by stinging insects, like during the rest of the year there. Attached are a couple pics... I'll post them elsewhere in a new thread...

Oh yeah... I got the wheels out of the bus on the right, it's full of oddball wheels. I know where I'll be this weekend. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif The bus on the left if full of old hubcaps... also oddball finds.

I miss the junkyards in maine, the yards out here just don't have the buses full of old stuff. I loved going to an old yard that have one bus for carbs one for wheels etc...
