Screws

Hello, my name is Screws and I'm from Hampden in Baltimore, MD. I follow the JJ, own a few bikes and share a bike shop in East Baltimore with a few of my friends. For some time, I've wanted an old truck, and I finally am searching with a few grand in my pocket. . . So far, looked at a '51 Chevy that needed too much work for someone like myself to undertake. There are a few others that I'm watching on the eBay and craigslist. . . I hope to have a ride within the month, and look forward to learning from and sharing with the folks on this forum as I work on this thing and progress into the world of old cars.

Early trucks are a good cheap way to start. Good luck finding the right deal.

Thanks for the welcomes and the heads up. Drug my arse out of bed to look at a '65 Chevy that is mechanically sound and will come with some patches and bits to help get it looking good.
Got some great tips on what to look for when buying a project from a couple fellers from a local CC that I know. They have a shop, and did some work on a hardtail project for me a while back. Not unlike bikes, car/truck folk seem very helpful and stoked to point you in the right direction.
