here's a version of a stock car from the 60's that i would like someday to try to copy for a street car.
this is mario andritti from the 67 daytona 500.

Cool looking cars, and '67 was 36 years ago.

Ahhhhh...the "is this traditional question." Hell, I dunno'. It's cool though, as any old race care is.

Here's what I think of as traditional:

Teen's-early 40's light cars w/ power increase through use of speed parts, machine work, or engine swap to larger mill - Traditional rod

Mid-40's-early 60's cars w/ power increase through use of speed parts, machine work, or engine swap to larger mill-
Hot Rod

Mid 40's-early 60's cars w/ body aethestic modifications (engine mod's or no engine mod's- Traditional Kustom

Not traditional

Mid-60's-early 70's cars w/ powerful factory engines & stout drivelines- Muscle car

God! I freakin' hate even thinking about all this crap! I just like what I like. You start trying to classify what a gasser is, what a wild kustom or mild kustom is, what a 79 Vette w/ a 600 hp. 502 is, and your brain starts to itch.

Piss on it. <font color="blue"> </font>

In my book, anything upto but not including the "Pac Man Rod" could be considered traditional, (small"t"). http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
