hey everyone,

i am crazy about all things old, espesially old. i work for a restoration company that specializes in every thing from concours quality, to full customs.redstonerestoration.webs.com. even though it is great to build stuff with other peoples money, i prefer to be let loose and build what ever, usually 50's and older. i, like alot of people, have a ton a of projects and never enough money, so i can hop around doing everything myself from chassis, engine, to body and paint.i currently am working on two personal projects, a 59 chevy fleetside pickup that is comming out alot nicer than i ever wanted, a curse of building other people cars with big budgets. the difference is i dont have labor costs, so that helps. my other project is a 28 essex 3 window couple with factory suicide doors and a rumble seat. i am going to just put it together with stuff around my shop i have collected over the years. it will have 47 ford front and rear ends, a 315 dodge poly head engine and dodge trans. i will build my own frame from 2x3 too. anyway i will be calling for help soon.

Welcome from Canada! Sounds like you have a job most of us would love to have! I would like to see pics of your Essex, I'm building a close relative to your car, a 1930 Hudson 3 window coupe. Stay cool and hope to hear from you.Ken

Dream jobs, like yours, are very scarce. So keep your nose to the grindstone and love every minute of it. Making the priority commitment to one ride is always the hardest decision to make, good luck
