Well I tried. I just can't make the room to work on it without getting rid of other stuff I can't or changing the layout of my garage which I won't.
I'd rather take that old Harley Shovelhead off of you instead of your money but if you don't have one...I'll take your money. I'll look at any trade offer to be honest. But I prefer big twins and hot rods...with a roof. I've got a '29 Roadster and the wife wants a car with a top....but I'd prefer a motorcycle.
1960 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88. 371 Rocket V8.
This car NEEDS to be customized. It's got all its bits. All the trim and trinkets. And it runs. And it drives. It does need a tune up but I take it around the block once or twice a week when I can.
The plan after the repairs was to lower it and even it out. I was thinking Supremes and wide whites but a lot of the guys were telling me to clean up the Star Wires that were on it. At some point in its life it had been sprayed pearl white with micro flake. It must have been beautiful.
The bad? It will need floor pan work and you'll have to replace the trunk pan. I took a look at some local 60's and they all appear to suffer the same problems in that area so I don't consider it that daunting of a task. The bottoms of the doors are rusted as well but i can hook you up. I have two perfect doors from an Arizona car that go with it.
The glass is good and the windows work. The lights work. The horn blows. The fan works.
These pictures were from the day after we brought it home. I've put steel wheels on it with radials since then. Jerked out the rusted exhaust and put a single on it so I can get around. I'll post some updated pics in 3 days when I can bump this post. Remember to PM and not post in the thread. :D The Star Wires will go with it of course.
