OK NEW PRICE - $2,000 O.B.O. !!!!
A very cool 49 Packard, with very rare automatic transmission (1st year for Packard).
Car runs really nice, and motor sounds super strong, quite, and no smoke! Starts w/depressing the gas pedal to the floor (factory) and starts everytime. Running the factory fuel pump and gas tank. I do have the original breather but took it off for the pics.
Goes into gear and can be moved around, but it will need a new master cylinder so I haven't driven it too much, but drove it about a block just to get it out and moving. Will stop w/the E-brake
Interior has the original seat covers! And the car several factory options like rear bumper gaurds, reverse light, driving lights, and sun shades that snap into the windshield seal from the inside. Also has small fan mounted in the floor, but not sure if it is a Packard option or not.
It is 100% complete w/only missing the drivers door latch.
The only rust that I have found is in the trunk area, mostly the floor and and some below the deck lid (the deck lid is very nice w/no rust). I've been doing rust repair / custom body work for over 15 years and can safely say this is not a hard repair.
All of the doors open and close nice and sound, all windows roll up and down, the deck lid and hood open and close nice. The hood can be opened from either side or competly removed.
Appears to have never been hit or wrecked.
Also all of the body lines are super nice. Well it is a Packard right....
This is a very cool car that needs someone to give it the love it deserves, w/out a lot of effort this could be a very easy car to put back on the road and enjoyed. Why build what everyone else is building?? Build something unique.
Car is located in Ennis Tx. just 25 miles S. of Dallas.
