1935 Chevrolet Standard 2dr Sedan. Car is as rust free an original as you will find to restore or rod. Has 5 wire wheels, garnish moldindings, rear seat frame, 1 or 2 bumpers. Gauge cluster is still in the dash. The last owner took the top wood bows out of the roof and wanted to put a steel frame in but didn't get much further than taking the bows out. One half of the hood is there, though Rootlieb makes reproductions in steel and they are readily available. It comes with a Vega wagon ribbed roof section that is not installed. The car has an S10 rearend sitting under it for now and I don't know where the original went. Also included is a 292 inline six that I pulled from an early 60s GMC; engine is pictured.
The car is really solid in just about every way. The wood is very nice in the car. The doors sag a little bit, though I haven't seen a wood car of this vintage that didn't need at least a bit of restoration or replacement. The fenders are fairly straight though the driver fender has a welded up split and the passenger fender has a rust area near the top edge that is pictured. Both are an easy fix for any metal worker / bodyman. Other than that rust, there isn't much other rust through on the car, only surface rust in areas.
It was supposedly last on the road in 1968 in St Paul MN. Clear MN title with the car in the last owners name. I bought it a year ago and planned on starting it this last winter, though my 32 Ford project is just taking too much time and $. Not as many GM cars made it out there as Fords did to the restoration/rod part of a car's life cycle. This one is really nice and I need the room and don't have the time.
