Been into cars all my life. Had a '39 ford 2 door sedan and a '39 Merc 4 door sedan.Both had (2) 97's,high compression heads and duals with a pair of Smitty's. ( after I sold it I found out it was in the worlds Fair in '39-the first year of Mercury production).
My '51 Ford had a .030 over Y-Block,ported and polished ECZ (Ford) heads,(3) 97's, Isky cam,Hedman headers,dual point distributor and a 4:11 rear.
It was shot with 21 coats of burgandy paint,Pontiac grill,nosed and decked,lowered with skirts and '57 Chevy interior material.
I worked all my adult life for the Chevrolet Motor Division and recently retired after 38 years and moved to Florida.
