Guys,
How many guys in the midwest area are running manual transmissions in their HA/GR cars?
How many are running automatics?
Thanks,
Ron

Automatic...turbo 350
Manual, 4 speed, until it breaks or I find out I'm a h.s. shifter.

I thought we were the only one running a manual tranny. If/when ours breaks we're going to an automatic. I'm tired of the uncontrobable wheelspin, lousy 60 foot times and the missed 2nd gear shifts. Like Roy (348 Chevy) said, his car leaves without wheelspin and runs some good ET's. We have plenty of power (120+ mph)but can't hook it to the pavement.
Sounds like a good winter project.

Ron.. With the HP. you guys are making.. No 6" tire is going to hook up. Manual or Auto. You need slicks...

Ron, I'm not wanting to be a smart ass but that's the reason I like the rule. A little guy like us has a chance when you miss a shift:D Rocky
Yes, that is another rule that helps level the playing field.
The other one is the 6" bias ply tires.

Robert, looks like you need both tires on the RH side:D Rocky
That is an idea:eek:. It says we have to run bias plies, but it does not say how many.
Maybe I can make an adapter and run two on the right side and one on the other, it ought to hook up a little better!!:D

Yea Rocky, He gets wheel spin.. I won't be able to even get the right side to break loose. Even with 4lbs more pressure on that side.. hehehehe...Dick..
