How much does a little red X cost these days? I assume that it is a "traditional" red X you have there and not one of them goldchainer red X's http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Sam F.
10-30-2003, 09:24 PM
well,he scored on a 50 ford truck drive train(running flathead, trans, rear end, steering column, wheels etc) a few months back from our relative who loves buliding catalog style rides,so thats all gonna go under it,,prob just DA & wire wheel the hell out of it,tighten up the structure to take care of all the old wood, and make a cool hot rod out of it....
i think it looks kinda cool unchopped

Sometimes I feel
Like I don't have a partner
Sometimes I feel
Like my only friend
Is the city I live in
The city of Angels
Lonely as I am
Together we cry
I drive on her streets
'Cause she's my companion
I walk through her hills
'Cause she knows who I am
She sees my good detail
And she kisses me windy
I never worry
Now that is a lie
I don't ever want to feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way
I don't ever want to feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way (yeah yeah)
It's hard to believe
That there's nobody out there
It's hard to believe
That I'm all alone
At least I have her love
The city she loves me
Lonely as I am
Together we cry
I don't ever want to feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way
I don't ever want to feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way (yeah yeah)
Ooh no (no no yeah yeah)
Love me I say yeah yeah
Under the bridge downtown
Is were I drew some blood
Under the bridge downtown
I could not get enough
Under the bridge downtown
Forgot about my love
Under the bridge downtown
I gave my life away (yeah yeah)
Ooh no (no no yeah yeah)
Love me I say yeah yeah

Dude...stop singing or we'll be here all night!!!! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif BTW, the sedan yer uncle snagged looks cool....Stitch
Butt, got any pix of that "non-Impala" 2D Ht ?
Same roof line / C-pillar as an Impala Sport Coupe?
Cheverolet did make a two door hardtop Bel Aire in 1958.
It had a roof similar to the two door sedan, but was a "Hardtop" style with no pillars.
There was also a four door hardtop in 1958.
Thanks, Carnut.com, for the two 1958 Chevy pics.

weren't the impala greenhouses a little lower then the Belair, Biscayne, and Delrays and also not also long? I always thought the Impala and the other models were the same from the fenders forward and everything from the fenders back, while very close in size and design were not interchangeable. Beats me, maybe I need to buy an Impala so I can make a sidebyside comparo with my Belair.

Butt, would your uncle be the guy that was trying to pick up my Ol Lady? She referred to him as "The Creepy Guy". http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I thought it was funny. Isn't his name Kenny or something similar?
Isn't that year (35) still full of wood (Like the door jambs and EVERYTHING)? If it is, looks like you'll definitely have a project there.

hahaha, yup that was him plowboy,,,he kinda has that effect on women http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
the wood thing is a trip, some of it is still "OK" so the rest thats rotted will be replaced with square tubbing
rolf,i wanted to take a pic of the 58 ,but the way it was parked the only shot i could get of it was just the front end.
heres some pics from this afternoon,we were all caught up so decided to play with it a lil bit, rolled the '50 F1 front end and rear end under it,
it sits way to high right now,but at least now it rolls,
for now he's gonna use the paralel leafs front and rear.
