I've been lurking the HAMB since the beginning, registered to see the pics over two years ago and now the posts on '35 Fords got me fired up to participate.
Been livin' and breathin' cars since reading my older brothers little pages in the 50's. Owned and built many over the years (59 yrs. old). I've taught Auto Body and Upholstery for 31 years at the second oldest two year college in the country. NDSCS - Wahpeton, ND. I do all my own work except rebuilding motors,trannies, and rear gears. Have done many hot rod and custom interiors in my shop in the back yard over the years. I've always loved traditional rods and customs.
Here are my last two HAMB friendly drivers, and I do mean "drivers". '29 RPU built in the '90s from a tudor sedan. It was the height of my "cardom" to be featured in American Rodder. Last I heard it was in Salt Lake City. The '63 Galaxie was a joy to cruise, but man what a boat to wash. It's now in the twin cities.
I've had a long term project '29 Sport coupe that will be an early 60's rod. My latest quick build (ya right) is a '35 Tudor Sedan that I picked up last Aug. Had sat in a heated shed since 1966. Had it running in an hour and it just purrs. Cleaned up and detailed the motor this winter and got the body and doors in paint this spring. It will emulate an early '40s mild custom. Sad to say I'm on light duty for the summer after back surgery a couple weeks ago and they're both on hold until fall.
