Three payments of $38
3 x 38 = 114.00
I got the same flyer a couple days ago. I'd love to have the book, but I've got cars to support.
c'mon, George Barris's lackey has an expensive drug habit to support!

10x10, 156 pages. Sounds just like this book (which I have, it IS good) only with a fancy cover. This one's $34.95

Guess you haven't priced a college text book lately.... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
You're paying more for the$114 one being hard bound and signed.....
Yes it's sad when a "coffee table book" costs more than a driver car did in the day the book is about.
I figure at this rate, in a decade they will have escrow and maybe leases available on books.

Luckily I've been out of school for a while now... they were expensive back then but no where near $114 rubles! Wouldn't want to be dealing with that now!
Its the same book as sold by many others, but with another cover(hardbound leather cover with a photo instead of hardbound with black paper cover and protective extra cover...). Strange thing is that half a year ago Classic Motorbooks did also sell a Barris singed version of the book with the cheaper cover, think I paid about $35 for that one...

That means it will be well over $200 down here!!!
Any idea if it has all the "bad" Barris Customs?

The man was a genius with his use of drawer pulls and hot water radiator covers. Copied a lot of that shit in the early 60's
Its a good book! (but the four Barris Kustom Techniques is a even better buy if you are inte early customs). The book covers Barris customs, not his movie cars of the later years. As I said, its a good buy, but buy the cheaper version and import it yourself, wont be expensive then!
I bought a book at the Detroit Autorama last year,
"The Big Book of Barris", hard cover with the same 'Bird on the front.
It dosn't have the black around the bird, mine is like the one's Sancho listed.
I bought it from Barris at his booth, and had him sign it.I think it cost me around 50 bux.
It may not be the "Collectors Edition", but BSing with him and watching him sign it for me was kool enough.
It is a good book in my oppinion.
