Me too nico...
How many Bics does it take to do a single drawing Todd? Mad skills buddy.
I've usually chewed the little plastic plug off the end of the pen and, unconsciously
syphoned the ink up and all over my face and brand new sport shirt before I get
anything that detailed done. Ya know,... back in "the day."
Outlaw is cool Gary and that '60 Chevy looks 100 times better thanks to those killer photos

well last saturday and sunday i loaded up cars and trucks
since then my hips been unable to even lift its own weight so i started using illustrator which is a first
so the first one is a image a drew then live traced it
the other is a potential t shirt design when i get the money to print. i drew it mostly in photoshop, and cleaned it up in illustrator
the third was drawn in pen and then illustrator clean uphttp://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=6534&pictureid=77726http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=6534&pictureid=78060http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=6534&pictureid=78059

Ed - I took a peek at your website
those pencil drawings are great, you got such good contrast going, they really stand out as much as a painting.
are they on regular cold press illustration board?
what do you spray on them to fix em? you must build up layers of fixative so you don't smear what you have worked on
My guess is over 8 hours in one drawing?
Thanks! Yes cold press. No spray and I try very hard not to smear. Way over 8 hours...

Badass ride!
I finally got around to doing some stuff that was HAMB-friendly (usually it's the normal sign shop stuff I do to pay the bills, which, while still fun, isn't always HAMBable).
Inspired by a tin I saw at Jeral Tidwell's site (http://www.humantree.com/) I dug around and found a couple of old AOL tins. Stripped 'em, painted 'em and rigged 'em to hold my trusty old 'Striping Brushes.
edit: I found the devil through a Google search. Barnett pointed out that it's the work of Jime Litwalk (http://www.jimelitwalk.com/index.html). Never knew who to credit. Now I do.
http://acmesignz.com/HAMB_stuff/striping_trays.jpg
An old ammo box a friend asked if I could do anything with. Honestly, I sat with this for w-a-a-y too long before I was inspired by a box I saw a fellow HAMBer had done which reminded me of a mailbox I had done back in the early 90's which, in turn, kicked this idea in the ass.
http://acmesignz.com/HAMB_stuff/grumpys-box.jpg
And finally, a toilet seat raffle item that was supposed to go to Brizio's for his annual Shop Party & Open Housse (this would have been my 12th) but some nasty flu knocked me down for a couple of weeks and I couldn't get it done. If you're ever at Roy's look for it hanging in the shop someplace.

It's two and a half tons. Most of it is bronze weight but theres a steel frame up underneath that weighs probably 7 or 8 hundred pounds. The frame keeps the bronze from moving around.

red sled...Yeah, I know. But then again, more folks will probably see at Brizio's than in someone's garage that won it as a raffle prize.
I've done these for years now and I always try and "outdo" myself from the previous year. Sometimes just for my own satisfaction. This was Roy's 24th Annual Shop Party so the top of the lid has 2-4s on it. I'm probably the only one that would "get" it but then it was supposed to have some lettering on it to designate the 24th (just in case).

Coop, you're on a whole other plane of existence…
Chad...Thank you for the kind words. Coming form you, I'll take that as a compliment. I just do what I can. It was fun (especially the "aging") and it's finally out of my way maybe that is the best part).
Eye Bone...If it wasn't you could you please remind us all? There are days when my memory isn't worth the brain it's imprinted on. I am glad that I got to play along for once.
