Well Spike, you wanted to see the coupe, so here it is. It's getting torn down farther next week. Plus theres pics of other guys from our clubs' cars too. Jeff's "A" sedan Shane's 62 galaxie Jerry's 47 Ford Just misc. pics from this weekend while working on some stuff. Multiplie posts......
yeah, I think so too. The seat frame you see is a butchered caravan carcass. He's 6'2, so he needs more room. Once it's sheet metaled in, and cushioned, he sits perfect and see's straight out the windsheild, even with the crazy chop and channel
I don't have a exact answer for that, other than he said there's plenty of room. He said he'll build a driveshaft loop too(I don't know specifics). The seat insert only hangs to even with the lower edge of the frame, as you can see in the pic.
Grumpy- Thanks for the pics man! Its actually a good thing seeing the car all torn apart. It needed a good re-build. More than I could handle. The addition of the I-Beam axle and "bones" look great. Those old 80's seats had to go as well. Looks like you'll have a busy winter ahead! What did he do with the Big Block? Is he keeping it? Spike
Spike The big block is sold, the frontend is sold, the interior is in a dumpster, steering column is gone, wheels and tires are gone. Gas tank is gone. Trunk floor re-done w/ new tank, floorboards are re-done. Did you know that whoever originally built it used shopping cart wheels as body biscuits? That's all gone and re-done. It's getting a 283 .030 over, with 265 heads(all redone with 202 valves)and destroked to 292. It's gonna scream. Dressed with alot of original fenton stuff, incliding 3x2's Jeff's sedan will be channeled pretty good but not chopped
