Names Brandon, I'm 15, and live up in the Yosemite area. My dad and I have a 1946 Chevy 1/2 ton truck that he bought back in 1968. It's been sitting for the last 33+ years. Just a couple months ago, we had our original 216 replaced with another that we bought, since ours had a cracked block. Now, I'm working on fixing up the truck. We don't want to do any serious overhauling; just keep it close to original and used condition. [For it's age, it's in the best condition for having sat so long than I've seen on any other truck. We didn't need any body work whatsoever to get it running and drivable.] But what I need help with is the glass that goes over the speedometer and the other gauges. Ours is broken into 4 main pieces. I tried epoxying them back together, but that has just failed and completely made a mess and ruined the glass. Trying to clean it, the numbers and other writing on the glass is coming off. So this is what I need to know. If I bought another piece of glass, with the same exact demensions, is there anything i can buy to apply the original markings onto the glass, kind of like the permanent stickers u can put on your windows, and all the parts are equally spaced. This would be great to know. Thank you for all your help.
