Ha Ha...that "Big Daddy Injection" has been around since 1987...it goes over a standard 4v carb to create that "fuel injected" look!

In the motorcycle world, there's dudes that buy fake kicker arms/pedals for their push button ignited bikes. I don't know which is more sickening and stupid. probably the fake kickers..

Rat, I think it is a little different, maybe you could only find a 6x2 intake but really wanted a 4x2, or maybe you want it to run reliably on the street without washing the oil from the cylinder walls.
This is where some guy goes off and spends $670 to cover his 4BBL with what looks like fuel injection. If you've ever seen these (they are on display at his Museum in Ocala) it isn't even close to looking real. There are actually gaps in the molding where you can see the carburetor sitting under it.

Isn't the Hot Rod world full of this, things being showed off as something they not really are.
Things somewhat more desirable, but more expensive/worse/complicated…..but not the real thing.

Electronic HEI distributors hidden inside Vertex cases.
Fake Quick Change covers clued onto standard differentials
Disc brakes inside finned Buick drum covers
Knock Off hubs covering a standard 5-hole bolt circle
Fuel injection Stromberg 97 carburetors
Automatic transmission gear selectors looking like a manual shifters
White wall radials

What did I forget?? Please add to the list.

Yeah, between these products and having his "Trailer Queen of the Week" segment on Street Rodder TV on ESPN, I'm starting to wonder what to think about him.

Also, when I was at his museum, they were selling that book, "High Performance" by Robert C. Post for about $4 more than the copy I had out in the car. Maybe it was a different edition, but the price tag sticker seemed fishy to me.
