Yep, the copper truck started blowing steam outta the pass. side pipe today on the freeway in traffic... hauling all my junk out to my new garage may have done it in.

But after I parked it to investigate, my phone told me I had a voicemail...

I GOT A FREAKIN JOB!!!! after 10 1/2 months of downtime, just... in... time!

Perfect timing in a lotta ways, low on funds, last unemployment check is likely out in the box waitin to be brought in with the usual stack of bills... This gig is like the 2nd gear to 3rd gear shift careerwise... (that'd be a 5spd career...) finally charmed my way past some gatekeepers.

Sounds like I have one day of freedom left, if so, I'll use that to pull the head and assess...

No, check this out... I work a 4x10 week, 2nd shift at first. "Monday morning" gets pulled back to Sunday afternoon, Friday miller time occurs on Wed. evening, and Thurs Fri and Sat. are my weekend!

So yeah, I'll have garage time... No, don't need to sell anything cept my cadillac and my VW bus... just cause they're sorta in the way... fixing the truck won't be so bad, I thinkits just the gasket... I'm not using ethelyne glycol anti-freeze... propylyne glycol, the Sierra shit... doesn't eat your bearings.

Systems administration, data storage and backup back at Disney... where I got layed off 10.5 months ago, but working for different, and hopefully cooler people.

Think of it as a waste treatment plant for corporate data, only we save it in jars like howard hughs instead of flushing it...

should add, iam thinking of the high and mighty animators that worked at disney... some of the most dramatic and lame people i know were from there... systems on the other hand is probably a different story
