Hi all,
Names Charlie from Northern Scotland. Been around rods since '78. Had a few bits and pieces over the years. At the moment I'm putting together A 1937 Hillman Minx slant back, with a Rover (Buick) 215ci and autobox, Jag rear and Viva front, Slots and simple paint, sorta 70's stylee.

When that is finished we can then get on Irene's Minor. It's a 273 Chrysler powered, carson topped, 2door

Thanks guys, Yes I'm definately the only hamber on the Island. We have around 12000 people here and only 3 rodders, (there were none till I moved here) about 5 trikers and loads a Jap bikers!! a couple of years ago my (then) coupe was sitting outside my house and 2 older gents pulled up to talk. They were brothers called Richardson. One was called Royce and I forget the other name. They were on vacation from Alpine ( is that San Diego) California. Anyway Royce drove a Black and blue flamed fully fendered 3w coupe, and his brother had a red fendered 5w "A" coupe.( not here I might add). they were gobsmacked to find my shop in such a remote place.

Hi Charlie...Glad to see you made it to the HAMB,we could do with a few more Jocks here!
Look at my avatar, remember me? I was the one who got hijacked on a certain Scottish forum.(air-ride thread.)
I got fed up with the bitching and joined a proper forum! (No fault of theirs, just one member)
How's the pick-up coming on? The Moggie's lookin' good!
The pic of the Hillman wasn't taken on Skye was it....it's too sunny!:D

50scotbolt, I remember the thread, there's always one.Have you finished the truck yet?? I haven't started mine yet. Was doing the Minor and got sidetracked onto the Hillman 'cos someone wanted to buy it then let me down. Now I need it out of the way, so, I have to finish it. Oh Yes! the pic of the Minx WAS taken on Skye. We had our summer LAST WEEK!!

Hi Nick,
I think we are on all the same sites. Been lurking here forever,so, I thought it was about time I came out of the closet. Yes Skye is a stunning place to live, as is, N. Wales. It is a bit of a journey to Rod Runs though, so we can't do as many as we would like. Anytime you fancy a visit feel free to get in touch. I had a Rod Run up here in 2003 and the furthest travelled was Kev. Rooney in his Kapri.
Good luck mate!! Charlie!!

Charlie...I live about ten minutes from the Kyle show(ain't I lucky;)),
I'll maybe see you there.
I know big Mick Hannah.(White 67 Poncho) I think he did the 'Skye run' to Duntulm a couple of years back.
Dunno if my truck will be there though......We live in hope!
If it is it won't be painted, but it is coming together nicely.
