lots of pic being hosted on photo hosting sites arn't being posted. kinda beats the purpose of them being in there. maybe if it deemed a thread to be worthy of being in the tech archive, it could have dedicated space for the pictures so a year or two later they are still "active"

now there's a winning idea. some of the tech threads are useless without the photos that once accompanied them. there's no way to get the photos back that have already been deleted, but in the future, it would be a good idea to switch them over to a place they will stay available before moving the thread to the archives. i like it.

you will notice the vast majority of missing pictures were hosted on remote sites
the JJ has no control over what happens on other sites

when doing a tech article/thread please post your picture to the HAMB
yes it will show as a thumbnail and need to be "clicked" to enlarge
but the chances of it still being visible on the HAMB in the future are much better

well maybe someone should go through and delete some of the tech archive, it really does have a bunch of holes.
