Idea for rear lights

Ok this may be dumb , its hard to find stuff over here so I use what I can. will it work ?. This is the lens out of a new BMW .. Was going to put red lenses in behind the glass and use as brake lights , sink them into the bumber or on the body of my 50 Chevy. I can take out the lens and use it without the surround.

i would leave the chrome , it is pretty classy looking . you could go full euro and use a red bulb and clear lens . . . regardless I think it is pretty nice and you could do alot with it .

Damn, give em long enough and even BMW can come up with something worthwhile (well other then their real big coupes and ol 635csi's)

There is some stuff you can stick on the inside of the lense to give it a prizom effect, just like a real tailight lense. Then the red light won't show.

Smokin Joe thats what I was thinking.They are out of the headlights. Vw mk4 Golfs and audis are the same.

If you needed a slightly smaller one look at very new ( 03 plate on ) Ford Focus fog lights, saw one coming in to work today...

I would just run it with a red bulb and leave it clear...

If you have frenched/tunneled headlights with stainless bezels, they would match perfectly. I'd set them in flush or a little tunneled in the fender.

How 'bout '56 Chevy taillight lenses? Or spray lens with candy red.
