Ok guys here goes. I want my coupe to sit very low, so what I need to know is would you guys use 36 rear bones & mount spring behind or go with the brackets that put spring in stock position? Using stock frame, so can extend it for the extra distance if need be. Am thinking about doing the 36 bones & a 8"Z. Have a 6" dropped axle in front.I plan on channeling body 4" also. Thanks in advance for your input. Dave

I've got an 8" Z in the back of mine. No rear suspension yet, but I'm going with a wishbone type and a '40 front spring behind or in front of the axle. I've got to have to have a lot of room for stuff in my trunk, which is why the small front spring. Now if you would just come over to my house you could check it out... Dave

I ought to be home on sunday afternoon. Come on over and check out my coupe. You could get a good idea of what to do on the back. Dave

I made a Model A frame by using the old crossmembers and two 9 foot long sticks of 2x4 square tubing....pie cut the front to look like the original frame and put a 10 inch kick in the back with a model a spring on top of a 55 chevy rear...car sits damn low....I'll try to fire you off some pics in the next day or so....

Oh yeah...the tubing was all 1/4 inch wall...strength, a little bit of weight, and we can drill and tap right into it!
