Appears to me to be a '39 Lincoln Zephyr 4 door,
converted to a two door with long doors. They used
the rear door hinges, and it's been chopped.

Quick and crude photoshop, but you get the idea.
That must of been a hell of a lot of work.

Thats exactly what it is. The car is from Newberry Park, I've met the guy and seen the car first hand and you have to see it to witness all the metalwork that has gone into it. That car does rock. Sorry no pics though.

Hey Sancho, I bet your right, I like to see guys trying somthing new. My first impression, the picture was a kool photo chop Zepher and someone should build it. The car really messed with my mind this morning. I'm anxious to see the final results. Here is my prediction.

Happy Trails,

That car belongs to Alan Decker from Thousand Oaks . He built it all himself , it was a 38 4 door originally . It has 39 bumpers , headlights , grille and some other stuff . Basically took the best of 38/39 Zephyr's and made it his own . It's got a 302/c4 and he just put air conditioning in it . Drives bitchin and he rolls it all over the place . Some little kid saw it and said the paint looks like "clouds and sky " and it will probably stay that way . Alan is much more talented than a lot of the "well known" customizers in my opinion , keeps a low profile and works on stuff cause he loves it not to be on t.v. or anything .

Yep, that's it. I became good friends with his son, Jeff who does the bronze sculptures in Utah (Hippodrome Studio). On the way back from Santa Barbara last year, he "made" me stop by his dad's house. Can't remember what her name was, but the place was orig owned by a '20s film star. Anyway, his place is like an automotive Disneyland for adults. My old lady couldn't peel me away from all the amazing stuff stashed away in containers, under carports, etc. Alan is good at making things that never existed, such as the Zephyr, and there are many other similar projects lying around. But nothing ever gets finished!
