Hi everybody, my name's Jess, I live on the south east coast of the U.K, I'm currently in the process of building my first proper traditional rod. A 28 tudor high boy with a filled roof. Running it with a hopped-up 4 banger, dual Strombergs, Winfield head, and rod brakes.

Welcome from the states. Looks like you have a nice start on your "proper traditional rod". That green "channeled Tudor", is that yours also? Good luck on your project, and keep the pictures coming.

Hello, thanks very much. The Green tudor was a rod I helped my father build. He finished it, and then sold it. You can't tell from the photos, but the paint was metal flake, really eye catching. Not sure about the gold engine, but still, it was his choice. He finished the interior with some nice metal flake green and white tuc 'n' roll

I can see the metal flake in it now. The green and gold seem to work together, anyway you both should be proud, nicely done!

Hey Jess,
Hope things are good with you, say hi to your Dad for me.
Have a search for the monthly banger meets on here, you'll find loads of inspiration in them. How's the sedan progressing from the last pictures you sent me?
Are The Freaks still going? I've been waiting for you to let me know when you've got a gig.
Neil.
