I have a 1935 chevy 1/2 ton that I'm restoring, the 216 engine was frozen, so I bought a 235 now the bell housing won't bolt to the tranny and the 216 bell housing won't bolt to the new engine. What now? Is there some type of converter/adapter or do I start over looking for another 216?

Hello & Welcome to the HAMB. Not a 216. Take the oil pan off the 216 & have a look. The oiling system is very antique. Do a 35 chevy 'search', it's at the top of the page. Do some studying and use the engine that you really like.
