Hello Everyone,
I have been away from this world for 30 years but my wife just bought a '38 Chevy Sedan shell. Let the games begin.

Welcome back!! We have a really first class 38 Chev sedan in our club. SBC, auto, A/C. and so on. Are you going in that direction? Personally, I am more of an old school flathead guy, but appreciate almost everything I see in this....madness.

It will be a SBC. I need to get some info on what I can use for running gear as this is just a shell I have now. Someone mentioned a 1974-1978 Grand Prix but I need to hook up with some people on this site to get that comfirmed.
Thank you and its nice to be back into it.

You married a good woman who is a positive, wholesome influence on you. Any woman who brings home Neat Old Stuff for you to build is a treasure. By all means keep this woman.

Also with the pontiac or medium size chevy you can get almost everything you need from one donor car.

I will keep her ,as she is the assistant designer and assistant fabricator of our last project also. 55,000 miles towing a tent trailer all over the USA.
I know the wheelbase & width of the 77' Grand Prix but not the 38' sedan yet.

triker im going to starting my 38 chevy sedan soon as well. I am also from canada. This is what i have been told by numerous people Mustang 2 front ends work good with these if using the original frame you can put an original mustang/pinto crossmember in place with minor trimming. By doing this you can drop the stance of the car with stock mustii spindles. Cutlass/Monte/Lemans rear ends Grand national rear ends work well and fit in nice... Im looking for a buick gn rear with posi. Havent started my project yet and am currently out of work so im goin to start dissasembling and cleaning priming.
