Hi guys,

I am coming up to LA with work. We are attending the SEMA Show in Vegas but most of the time I will be in LA and wondered what car stuff would be happening?

Thanks,

Greg

Greg, so you are coming to Vegas for SEMA! That's great as my wife and I are planning on being there also. Then its off to Pomona for the NHRA World Finals. Do you think we could swap lies for a short time and heft a pint or two? Maybe we can discuss the maggazines, as well? We know our way around Vegas pretty good as we have been going there since 1971-although the changes in the last few years have been beyond belief. Where will you be staying? We will be at the Sahara. We are arriving on Tuesday and will be leaving for Pomona some time on Friday.
P.S. If you haven't been to SEMA before you won't believe the size of the candy store! Be sure to bring your most comfortable shoes/sneakers as should you get the chance to walk the show you WILL put on some serious mileage.

Greg, I forgot to mention that the Long Beach Swap Meet will be taking place on Sunday, Nov. 9. It is really a very good place to hunt up vintage speed stuff as well as other neat car goodies. I like it better than the Pomona Swap Meet. Also, Friday night there is a cruise at Bob's Big Boy in Toluca Lake. Generally, some cool rides show up. Saturday, there is the cruise going on at Fudrucker's in, sheeesh, I forgot the exact location but it is very close to Pasadena, I believe. I don't know of anything going on in Vegas.

Greg, what type of business is it for which you will be working the booth? Should I slide by at any particular time to ensure that you will be there?

The Doughnut Derilects is every Saturday morning from 5AM-9AM..., on the corner of Magnolia and Adams in Huntington Beach..., but the 29th of Oct or Nov...? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Many other cruise shows all around LA and Orange counties every single night of the week. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

There is a local publication called "Cruisin" or something like that, which has a list of most of the cruising action and small shows around that area. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I hope someone down there could share the name of that Magazine...? It'll definitly help. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yeah Luke. Swing by the Kelly & Hall pits and we'll figure a way to stir up some shit. I'll be crewing on the car during the day but after we run I'm up for a "Barley Pop" (tm). Wayno
