Irfranview, how do you resize photos with it?

How do you get the pics small enuff to post. Numbers of pixels or what? Nutz.

Open irfanview;
click on file;
open (select) the desired pix;
click on image;
click resize/resample;
under width enter 500 and hit enter;
save pix with a different name.
That should do the trick.
