In middle school during the summers I used to wash cars at the car dealership my father worked at. Got to be friendly w/ the head parts guy. Went to college, lost touch, and haven't seen him since.

The other day my dad stopped in to say hello and the guy asked "hey, is Anthony still into hot rods?" Dad said yeah. Parts guy says "well, I'm moving and have about 10 boxes of old Hot Rod and Kustom magazines from the early 50's to the mid 60's. I don't want to drag them all the way down south, so if he wants them they're his."

Now I know this isn't the same as finding a vintage salt flats racer in an old lady's garage...but I'm real freakin' excited! I've managed to buy a few old Hot Rod and Hop Up magazines here and there, but this is the motherload!

Can't wait to get them out here to Seattle from the east coast and check out all of those great Rods and Kustoms.

Good job man. "Middle school"? We must be closer in age than I thought! It was "junior high" to the older crowd...

Okay time for me to go to bed I guess...

Heck, I'm only 25! Granted, I've got a baby, a wife, a house, the skoobie-du-baru, and the Vic., but no grey hair yet http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
